The Full Story

About

The idea of Monarch Move Managers was born when I saw how hard it was for my grandmother, not to mention our family, when we moved my grandmother into an assisted living home.  Grandmother had occupied the same home for 70 years in East Texas – when it became clear that she needed more than the occasional housekeeper and steady doctor checkups, Grandmother decided she wanted to be in an assisted living place closer to her kids and grandkids.  At the time, we had never heard of NASMM or careers centered on managing moves for seniors –  experienced individuals who understood a myriad of options when encountering the challenges and questions when seniors move. Finding an association we could learn from whose ethics, respect and care for the senior population matched our own, was like finding “our people.”

 

A safe place that felt like home was what we endeavored to curate with and for my grandmother – and it is the core of what the Monarch Mission is built on today.
